  • "My mom had a stroke a little over a month ago. We did, 2 weeks between hospital and acute Rehab. After rehab we got referred to outpatient physical and occupational therapy. Available appointments were few and far between which meant we had to do the exercises recommended at home. I started looking for personal trainers who might have experience working with stroke patients. Came across Yvonne’s post on Next Door. I reached out to her, she was upfront that she hasn’t, other than with her own mother who was in a similar situation. We decided to meet May 2nd to assess my mom and see if Yvonne would be able to help. Yvonne was confident she could and we started. It’s week 3, twice a week and we have seen a tremendous improvement in my mother’s strength, dexterity and mobility. She is slowly but surely recovering and getting back to a new normal, one my mom is comfortable with. What I love about Yvonne is she’s patient (I wish I had her patience), pushes my mom to her limit slowly but scales back as needed.
