  • "I am 74 years old and have been working with Yvonne for about 6 weeks.  I have had a major stroke and 2 hip replacements.  As a result, I have very bad balance and a tendency to drag my left leg. My balance is not great yet, but it has improved a lot.  I seldom drag my leg. The best part is that I have lost about 10 pounds. What I like about working with Yvonne is that when she introduces a new exercise, she explains what part of the body the exercise is going to help.  If it is too difficult, she finds a way to ease you into it.  I highly recommend using her to improve your balance and flexibility.  You will feel better and look better."

  • "My mom had a stroke a little over a month ago. We did, 2 weeks between hospital and acute Rehab. After rehab we got referred to outpatient physical and occupational therapy. Available appointments were few and far between which meant we had to do the exercises recommended at home. I started looking for personal trainers who might have experience working with stroke patients. Came across Yvonne’s post on Next Door. I reached out to her, she was upfront that she hasn’t, other than with her own mother who was in a similar situation. We decided to meet May 2nd to assess my mom and see if Yvonne would be able to help. Yvonne was confident she could and we started. It’s week 3, twice a week and we have seen a tremendous improvement in my mother’s strength, dexterity and mobility. She is slowly but surely recovering and getting back to a new normal, one my mom is comfortable with. What I love about Yvonne is she’s patient (I wish I had her patience), pushes my mom to her limit slowly but scales back as needed.   • "Me and my husband are in our 60’s and started training with Yvonne to build up our strength. He had 3 neck surgeries and was about to have his 4th. He wanted to build up strength in hopes of a smoother recovery. She did an amazing job helping us both and modified exercises based on our needs and limitations. She varied our routine in each session and made sure we were doing each movement properly to avoid injury. She always checked in a day or two after to see how we were feeling. She increased intensity as appropriate. We would highly recommend her as a personal trainer."
